This policy explains how AspirePal collects, uses, and safeguards your information so you can stay focused on accountability and progress.
We collect basic account details (name, email, timezone), your onboarding preferences (goals, availability, buddy preferences), and the messages or check-ins you choose to share with your accountability partner. We also receive limited technical data such as device type, OS version, and app performance events to keep the service stable. AspirePal does not collect payment or billing data because the product is free.
Data powers partner matching, reminders, and coaching nudges. We use engagement and stability analytics to improve reliability and match quality. Check-ins are visible to you and your matched buddy; AspirePal staff may access limited information to debug issues or handle safety reports on a strict need-to-know basis.
We rely on infrastructure vendors to run AspirePal (Supabase for authentication and storage, email providers for notifications, and privacy-first analytics). These providers act as processors under data protection terms. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to address abuse, security, or safety concerns.
Account data stays with us while your account is active. Inactive accounts are deleted after 18 months, and you can delete your data anytime from the app or by emailing support@aspirepal.com. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest through our providers. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data; residents of regions with special rights (such as GDPR/CCPA) can exercise them through the same channels.
AspirePal is designed for individuals 13 and older (or the minimum age required in your region). We remove accounts that appear to belong to younger users and will promptly delete data upon notice from a parent or guardian. Contact safety@aspirepal.com for any youth-safety concerns.
